Aggregate liabilities of 21 armenian banks contract by 1 percent to 1,674.4 trillion drams

YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. In the first quarter of 2012 the aggregate liabilities of 21 Armenia-based commercial banks contracted by  one percent from the fourth quarter of 2011 to 1,674.4 trillion drams, according to findings of an analysis made by ARKA news agency.

With 174 billion dram worth liabilities ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK was the leader in terms of liability size, which increased by 0.5% in the first quarter accounting for 10.4% of the aggregate liabilities of all banks.

Bank VTB (Armenia) was second with over 171. 7 billion drams, which grew by 13% in  the first quarter. It was followed by Ameriabank with about 162.4 billion drams (a decline of 2.3%), HSBC Bank Armenia – about 151.6 billion drams (a 1.9% growth) and Armbusinessbank -137.6 billion drams (a 5.2% decline).  ($1 – 392.29 drams). – 0 –
