Average interest rate on mortgage loans in dollars slips to 11.9% in Armenia in May

YEREVAN, July 12. /ARKA/. Average interest rate on mortgage loans extended by Armenian banks in dollars went 0.4 percentage points down in May 2012 to 11.9%, while that on the loans in drams remained unchanged – it stood at 12.6%.

According to the information available on the central bank’s website, interest rate on long-term loans in drams averaged 15.8% in May, just as a month before, while average interest rate on loans in foreign currencies slid 0.4 percentage points to 12.8%.

Short-term loans were extended in May at 16.9% average interest rate against 17% in April, and loans in foreign currencies at 13.5% interest rate against 14% a month before. ($1- AMD 413.5). -0–
