Areximbank-Gazprombank Group issues 5 476 payment cards, up by 77.7% in 2nd Q

YEREVAN, July 19. /ARKA/. Areximbank-Gazprombank Group said it had issued  5, 476 payment cards in the second quarter of this year, 77.7% higher from the same quarter a year earlier. Of them VISA cards- 1 803, MasterCard- 1,915, ArCa- 1,758.

The circulation of cards’ money  in the bank’s trading points was 819 071 thousand drams, up by 14.35 % from the second quarter of 2011.

The circulation in trading points of other banks was 447 235 thousand drams, climb by 17.05 % within the reported period.

The circulation in the cash points of the bank was 9 373 million drams, of them 2 884 million drams – via POS-terminals and 6 489 million drams- via ATMs. The growth was 20.55% in the second quarter of this year from the same quarter a year earlier.

Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (formerly Areximbank) was established in 1998 to handle financial flows between Armenia and Russia. It operates monetary transfers via MoneyGram, Contact, Migom, Bystraya Pochta, Blizko and Unistream, as well as transfers without opening a bank account via Gazprom-Express from Russia to Armenia. —0–
