Deposit interest rates in Armenia dive 0.4 P.P. to 8.3% in Sept

YEREVAN, October 23. /ARKA/. Armenia’s residents could open bank deposits at 8.3% average interest rate in September, which was 0.4 p.p. lower from August, according to the report of Armenian Central Bank.

AMD short-term deposit average interest rates slashed by average 0.1 p.p. to 9.8% in September from a month earlier, the data show.

Foreign currency short-term interest rates fell by average 0.1 p.p. to 5.7% within the reported period.

At the same time, AMD long-term deposit interest rates rose by 0.1 p.p. to 11%, whereas foreign currency long-term deposit interest rates tumbled by 1.2 p.p. to 6.8%. ($1- 405.76 drams).—0-
