Armenian banks buy over $91.3mln at intra-banking forex market

YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $91.3mln at weighted average rate of 405.23 drams per $1 at intra-banking market of foreign currency from November 26 to November 30, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reported.

In the same period, the banks bought nearly 9.8mln euros and about 843mln rubles at weighted average rate of 524.02 drams per €1 and 12.97 drams per ruble respectively.

The banks sold over $103.9mln, nearly €12.5mln and about 88.6mln rubles at weighted average rates of 406.56 drams, 526.13 drams and 13.23 drams respectively.

In the period from November 26 to November 30, dram loans extended by Armenian banks totaled 31.1bln drams, and USD loans were $43.2mln. ($1=405.32drams).–0–
