Deflation in Armenia stood at 0.4% in February 2013

YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Armenia posted 0.4% deflation in February from January, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

Prices for food dropped by 0.7% (including alcohol drinks and tobacco goods), prices for non-food commodities rose by 0.1% in February compared to January.

Consumer price index in February was 103.1% compared to the analogical period in 2012, for food (including alcohol drinks and tobacco goods) – 102.8%, for non-food commodities– 105.5%, for tariffs and services– 102.3%.

Inflation in Armenia is projected at 4% (±1.5%) in 2013. E.O.—0-
