Net transfer inflow to Armenia rose by 20% to 166.7bln drams in Q4

YEREVAN, March 26. /ARKA/. Net money transfer inflow to Armenia grew by 20% up to 166.7bln drams in Q4 of 2012, as compared to the same period of the year before, says the 2012 4th quarter bulletin of the country’s Central Bank.

In the reporting period some 755,000 transfers to Armenia were effected through commercial banks, members of international transfer systems, and payment organizations, worth a total of 191.4bln drams (22% increase against Q4 2011).

The total amount of transfers to Armenia was 7.8 times as much as that of transfers from the country in the quarter.

Average amount of a transfer to Armenia through payment systems was 254,000 drams, according to the report.

Payments to individuals through loro accounts totaled about 74.4bln drams in Q4 (an increase of 32% against the same period of 2011) with an average payment worth 5.1mln drams (increase of 1.5mln drams).

Individual transfers from Armenia through loro accounts were 61.5bln drams (reduction of 8.7bln).
