Idle assets of Armenia’s commercial banks hit 5.28% in Feb 2013

YEREVAN, April 12. /ARKA/. The share of idle and written- off assets of Armenia’s residents inched up by 0.95 p.p. in February from January to 5.28%, the Central Bank said Friday.

Commerce accounted for the highest number of idle assets  –nearly 1.14% (against 0.77% in January); consumer loans accounted for 0.9% (0.8% in January); construction –for 0.8% (0.25% in January).

At the same time, processing industry accounted for 0.68%, agricultural sphere –0.50%, mortgage lending -0.41%, catering –0.26%. There are no idle assets in financial sphere.
The aggregate  volume of the assets at Armenia’s commercial banks totaled 2546,7 billion drams as of late February 2013.

As of February 2013  there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia. .($1 – 418.02 drams).—0–
