ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK surprised orphanage after Mari Izmirlian within VISA “Barebar” charity card project

YEREVAN, May 31./ARKA/. ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK reported Friday, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, the children of Yerevan’s orphanage after Mari Izmirlian had been  pleasantly surprised within the framework of Visa “Barerar” (Benefactor) charity card.

Since 22 November 2012, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK in partnership with Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has been issuing Visa “Barebar” card, the first charity card in Armenia.

The project’s mission is to raise funds for kids living in orphanages of Armenia. Hereby, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE donates 0.3% of each card payment and 50% of “Barerar” Visa card’s annual fee to the Fund.

Additionally, Visa “Barerar” card-holders can contribute extra funds as they believe appropriate. To do so a card-holder should set the amount of monthly donations (minimum of 100 drams) when a card is issued by ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK.

“Today, the number of Barebar cardholders accounts to 6,000. In other words, 6,000 cardholders have already become benefactors,” the source stated.

On the occasion of International Children’s Day, each of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK’s employees has voluntarily donated funds to the project. BANK, on its side, doubled the collected amount and pleasantly surprised the children of the orphanage after Mari Izmirlian.

Thus, nearly 22 orphans will spend their summer vacations at Hangavan’s Aragats camp. Moreover, 10 kids with health issues will have  a medical examination at Armenia’s best diagnostic centers.
In addition, Treadmill Trainer was added to the orphanage’s gym equipment, which is necessary for the children with the locomotor apparatus disorders.
