Car loans provided by Armenian banks increased by 1.15 percent from February 2013 to 16.3 billion drams at the end of March

YEREVAN, June 4. / ARKA /. The total amount of car loans provided by Armenian banks increased by 1.15 percent from February 2013 to 16.3 billion drams at the end of March, the Central Bank of Armenia says in a statement posted on its official website.

The amount of car loans provided in Armenia’s national currency, the dram, grew by 0.9 percent to 16.3 billion drams and that in foreign currency grew by 23.5 percent to 42 million drams (in dram equivalent).

According to Central Bank data, consumer loans as of March 2013 amounted to 315.8 billion drams, of which about 216 billion were in drams and 54.8 billion drams in foreign currency. ($ 1 – 417.17 drams). -0-
