Three insurers in Armenia paid over 2.5 mln drams in car insurance compensations in Jan-Apr

YEREVAN, June 4./ARKA/. The three insurance companies in Armenia paid nearly 2 527,8 million drams in mandatory car insurance compensations, it accounted for 69.2% of all compensations, according to Motor Insurance Bureau of Armenia.

Total amount of all compensations within January-April 2013 valued at nearly 3 648,7 million drams.

Rogosstrakh-Armenia company paid most of compensations – 1 162,2 million drams. The next company is Ingo Armenia – over 878.8 million drams and Reso- over 486.7 million drams.

Compensation applications submitted to top 3 companies accounted to 12, 915 within the reported period.

The loss of the insurance market in April stood at 77.5%, which was 2% lower from a month earlier.
Institute for mandatory motor insurance has been operating in Armenia since 1 January 2011.The Central Bank of Armenia has been controlling the insurance market since 1 January 2006. ($1-416.84 drams).—0-
