Armenia’s commercial banks purchase over $89.5mln last week

YEREVAN, June 24./ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over  $89.5mln at a weighted average rate of 411.08 drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market from 17 to 21 June, the Central Bank reported Monday.

At the same time, the banks obtained about 5.7mln euros and over 828.4 mln rubles at weighted average exchange rates of 547.46 drams per €1 and 12.73 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, the banks sold about $95.3 mln, about €12.4mln and nearly  100.5mln rubles at weighted average exchange rates of 412.45, 549.51 and  12.92 drams respectively.

AMD loans provided  by Armenian banks from 10 to 16 June totaled to 32.2bln drams; dollar loans amounted to $41.5mln. ($1=411.28 drams).–0–
