Average return on assets of Armenian credit organizations 3.79% as of end of June

YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Return on assets (ROA) of Armenia’s credit organizations was 3.79% as of the end of June as compared to 3.67% as of March 31, 2013.

According to an analysis by ARKA, top five credit organizations with highest ROA in the reporting period were Express Credit with 13.92% (against 5.59% as of end of Q1), Garni Invest with 13.74% (against 13.28%), Aregak – 11.51% (10.52%), Kamurj – 9.73% (10.00%) and Arfin credit union – 9.62% (10.49%).

At the same time, return on equity (ROE) of Armenia’s credit organizations was 9.46% as of end of June, compared to 9.15% at the end of the first quarter.

Top ROE credit institutions are Garni Invest -44.02% versus 43.93%, Arfin Credit Union 35.63% versus 41.53%, Express Credit – 28.49% against 11.50%, Global Credit- 23.95% versus 27.00% and Malatia – 23.83% versus minus 105.23%.

As of 30 June 2013, there are 33 credit organizations in Armenia. ($1=406.10 drams).  –0–
