Market capitalization increased by 27.4% in May, exceeding 478 billion drams – Armenia Securities Exchange

YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Equity market capitalization increased by 27.4% in May 2026, exceeding 478.8 billion drams, the press service of the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) reported.

It is noted that the volume of stock trading in the reporting month increased by 960%, exceeding 2.1 billion drams. A total of 153 transactions were concluded.

Bonds

The total volume of government bond auctions on the AMX primary market in May exceeded 38.1 billion drams. Fifty-three transactions worth over 8.3 billion drams were concluded on the secondary market. In May, trading volume on the corporate bond market increased by 41% compared to the same period last year, exceeding 11.5 billion drams. During the reporting period, 1,500 transactions were concluded on 209 corporate bonds traded on the exchange at the end of May. “This stable growth reflects healthy demand for corporate bonds,” the statement reads.

Repo Transactions

The total volume of repo transactions exceeded 19.8 billion drams. In May, 182 repo transactions were concluded, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by 221%.

Foreign Exchange

In May, over 1.4 billion drams worth of US dollar conversions were completed in 11 transactions on the AMX foreign exchange platform. The exchange rate fluctuated between 368 and 368.60 drams throughout the month. About the Armenia Stock Exchange
