Bank of Russia recalls license of another bank

YEREVAN, September 10. /ARKA/. The Bank of Russia recalled AKB European Industrial Bank’s license for banking transactions as from September 10 2013, says the report of the central bank.

The decision was made due to problems the European Industrial Bank encountered recently. On August 23, the bank’s press office said the bank stopped serving clients due to technical problems and has not been paying out money to deposit holders since then, rbc.ru reported.

The bank said the problems occurred due to malfunctioning of the newly introduced automated banking system, but as early as on August 1 the bank ceased providing guarantees to its clients with no explanations.–0–
