Advisor to Gref Ruben Vardanian joins IFC International board

YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Ex-head of “Troyka Dialogue” and current advisor to Herman Gref Ruben Vardanian has joined the board of the International financial corporation (IFC) and may leave Sberbank this spring. Vardanian will be advising the IFC on its investment policies, banki.ru says referring to rbc.daily.

Two sources from Sberbank said Vardanian is elected to the IFC board. Ex-head of “Troyka Dialogue” himself confirmed the information. He also said macroeconomiscts from different countries, including India and Latin America, are now in the board. He told rbc.daily one of his functions will be to improve IFC operations in terms of investment policy and interaction with clients. Vardanian is the only one from Russia in the new board.

Currently Vardanian is advisor to president of Sberbank Herman Gref. before, he headed Sberbank cib, the investment section of the state-owned bank that was based on Troyka Dialogue bought in 2011. Vardanian may leave Sberbank after integration is finally over. It may happen this spring, sources from the loan company say. –0–
