Total credit portfolio of Armenian banks’ branches in Nagorno-Karabakh stood at 78 billion drams on March 1

YEREVAN, March 11. / ARKA /. The total credit portfolio of Armenian banks’ branches in Nagorno-Karabakh stood at 78 billion drams on March 1, 2014, an increase of 1.6 percent from the year before, according to Nagorno-Karabakh Statistical Service.

But compared with the previous month, the number was almost 20 percent less. Some 55.1 percent of the portfolio were loans in foreign currency, while overdue loans made 1 percent.

The amount of deposits stood at 55 billion drams, an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same period last year and a 22 percent decline compared with the previous month.

According to the official numbers, 75 percent of all deposits were time deposits, 17.1 percent were demand deposits and 7.9 percent were target deposits. -0-
