Armenia’s monetary base shrinks 5.3% to about AMD 713.3 billion in June 2014

YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base shrank 5.3% in June 2014, compared with the previous month, to about AMD 713.3 billion, National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank’s preliminary figures.

Cash outside of the central bank amounted to about AMD 403.3 billion in June 2014 against about AMD 393.8 billion in May 2014.

Mandatory reserves in drams totaled more than AMD 171.6 billion in late June against AMD 183.7 billion in late May and those in foreign currencies totaled over AMD 133.7 billion against AMD 172.3 billion.

Net international reserves less money from privatization amounted to AMD 470.7 billion in late June after shrinking 7.1% over the month.

Net internal assets totaled about AMD 242.6 billion in late June against AMD 246.3 billion in late May. ($1- AMD 406.07). —0—
