Some $7.5 million traded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia in the last week

YEREVAN, July 20. / ARKA /. A total of $7.5 million were traded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange in a time span from July 13 to July 18. The figure was up from $3.25 million traded at the exchange stock from July 6 to July 10, the exchange told ARKA.

The trade in USD was carried out at the average weighted exchange rate of 479.8 drams per $1. No transactions with euros or Russian rubles were made.

NASDAQ OMX Armenia is the new name of the Armenian Stock Exchange ojsc (renamed on January 27, 2009), however, it is also used to refer jointly to the stock exchange and theCentral Depository of Armenia ojsc.

NASDAQ OMX Armenia and the CDA are the major securities market infrastructure institutions in Armenia. Since their inception in 2000, both companies had operated as self-regulatory organizations established by member broker companies, up until demutualization in 2007. -0-
