Loan portfolio of Armenian commercial banks’ branches in Karabakh shrinks 1.6% to AMD 89785.3 million by August 1

YEREVAN, August 11. /ARKA/. The aggregate loan portfolio of Armenian commercial banks’ branches operating in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic amounted to AMD 89785.3 million by August 1, 2015 after shrinking 1.6% over one year, but growing 1.6% over one month.

According to Nagorno-Karabakh National Statistical Service, the share of loans extended in foreign currencies was 68.7% in the aggregate loan portfolio, and the share of overdue loans stood at 1.2% in early August 2015.

Deposits at Armenian banks’ branches in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic totaled AMD 57031.5 million in early August 2015 showing a 15.7% year-on-year decline and 1.6% month-on-month growth.

Time deposits made up 72.7% of the branches’ aggregate deposit portfolio, demand deposits 18.3% and special deposits 9%. —-0—-
