$74.9 million bought by commercial banks at Armenia’s intra-banking forex market

YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. Commercial banks bought $74.9 million at 476.63 drams per one dollar at Armenia’s intra-banking foreign exchange market over a period between August 17 and 21, the press office of the Central Bank of Armenia reports.

They also bought €7 million and about 1.1 billion Russian rubles at the mentioned period at 528.28 drams and 7.17 drams respectively.

Commercial banks sold about $86.1 million, €11.9 million and 296.8 million at the intra-banking forex market over the same period at 478.19 drams, 534 drams and 7.28 drams respectively.

The loans extended by Armenia’s commercial banks in drams amounted to 35.6 billion drams, and dollar loans totaled $34.6 million at the period between August 10 and 16. ($1 – AMD 477.7). –0–
