Armenian banks bought $62.5 million in one week

YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. Twenty-one Armenia-based commercial banks bought a total of $62.5 million from the local foreign exchange intra-market from October 26 to October 30 at the weighted average exchange rate of 474.45 drams per $1, the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia said.

It said also in the same time span they bought 5.9 million Euros and about 985.8 million Russian rubles at weighted average exchange rates of 519.21 per one Euro and 7.42 drams per one ruble.

The banks also sold $65.9 million, €17.2 million and 284.8 million Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 475.99 drams, 523.24 drams and 7.57 drams respectively.

Besides, from October 26 to November 1 the banks extended about 49.1 billion drams worth loans in the Armenian national currency and $60 million loans in US currency. ($1 – AMD 477.72). —-0—-
