Interest rates on short-term and long-term deposits in drams increase by 1.1% in October to 14.8%

YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. Interest rates on short-term and long-term deposits in the national currency, the dram, increased on average by 1.1% in October to 14.8%, the Central Bank of Armenia said today.

According to the Central Bank, the interest rate on short-term deposits in drams increased by 1.16% to 15.22%, while the interest rate on deposits in USD fell by 0.23 percentage points to 5.71%.

At the same time, interest rates on long-term deposits in drams increased by 1 percentage point to 14.43%, and deposits in USD fell by 0.6 percentage points to 7.97%.

The Central Bank’s refinancing rate from August 11 to November 10, 2015 was 10.25%. Today it is reduced to 9.75%. 0-
