YEREVAN, March 30. /ARKA/. Introduction of a single currency in the Eurasian Economic Union space is not being discussed so far, Vache Gabrielyan, vice-premier and international economic integration minister, told journalists on Tuesday.

In his words, establishment of a single bank regulator is under consideration. In particular, only the process of coordination of steps and policies is under way now.

Alexander Murichev, executive vice president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, on his side, told journalists that The Eurasian Economic Union countries are already doing whatever is necessary to coordinate a single financial integrated space.

«This will be a single regulator, but national banks will maintain their own jurisdictions, and the most important thing here is harmonization of laws related to activities of central banks, banking systems and licensing systems,» he said.

Murichev said that creation of a single licensing system is already arranged. It means that a license received in one of the Eurasian Economic Union countries will be valid also in its other member countries’ territories. –0—-
