Transactions made abroad by using Armenian banks’ plastic cards reduced 20.7% to AMD 5.8 billion in February

YEREVAN, April 13. /ARKA/. Transactions carried out abroad in February by using all the types of the plastic cards issued by Armenia’s commercial banks amounted to AMD 5.8 billion showing a 20.7% month-on-month decline, the Central Bank of Armenia reports in a fresh issue of its monthly bulletin.

The number of transactions reduced 0.3% to 167,800.

Non-cash transactions carried out over the same month totaled about AMD 4.3 billion showing a 25.6% month-on-month decline.

The amount withdrawn abroad by using plastic cards in February 2016 was equal to AMD 1.47 billion against AMD 1.5 billion withdrawn a month earlier (1.9% decline).

As of late February, plastic cards were issued and serviced by 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia’s territory, of which 19 are participants of ArCa single national payment system. ($1 – AMD 483.79). –0—–
