Armenian central bank’s net domestic assets increase by 1.4% in February to 397.9 billion drams

YEREVAN, April 14. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank’s net domestic assets increased by 1.4% in February from January 2016 to about 397.9 billion drams, according to the regulator’s monthly bulletin for February.

Central Bank’s claims to the government during the reporting period amounted to minus 123.3 billion drams against minus 156 billion drams in January. Central Bank’s claims to commercial banks fell by 11.6% in January to more than 188.3 billion drams in late February, and other claims reduced by 0.8% to about 332.8 billion drams.

According to the bulletin, net international reserves in February fell by 5.4%  to about 458.8 billion drams, while the monetary base stood at about 856.7 billion drams, a 2.3% decrease from the previous month. ($ 1 – 483.68 drams). -0-
