Residents’ dram deposits in Armenia’s commercial banks grow 6% to AMD 568.6 billion in 1st Q

YEREVAN, May 3. /ARKA/. Residents’ dram deposits in Armenia’s commercial banks have grown 6% since the beginning of this year to AMD 568.6 billion by late March and their deposits in dollars by 3.3% to AMD 997.4 billion, according to the report posted on the central bank’s website.

Demand deposits in drams totaled AMD 199.2 billion in late March after shrinking 5.1% over the first three months of this year, and time deposits grew 13.3% to AMD 369.4 billion.

Demand deposits in dollars grew 2.9% to AMD 247.4 billion, and time deposits in dollars 3.4% to AMD 749.9 billion.

Residents’ deposits in Armenia’s banks reached AMD 1 565.9 billion after growing 4.3% over the first quarter of this year.

Aggregate deposits in Armenia’s banks amounted to AMD 2 015.4 billion showing a 3.3% quarterly growth. ($1 – AMD 478.61). –0—-
