Banks bought $58.8 million at intra-bank forex market

YEREVAN, May 10. / ARKA /. Armenian banks bought a total of $58.8 million at the local intra-bank forex market from May 2 to  May 6 at the weighted average exchange rate of 477.67 drams per $ 1,  the Central Bank said.

It said the banks also bought 7.7 million euros and about 727.7 million Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 545.59 drams per €1 and 7.25 drams per one ruble respectively.

At the same time, the banks  sold about $69.7 million, €9 million and  305.3 million Russian rubles at the weighted average exchange rates of 479.41, 551.13 and 7.38 drams respectively.

In addition, from April 25 to May 1 the banks provided about 37.9 billion drams worth loans in the Armenian national currency and  $46.7 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- 478.96 drams).. -0-
