Armenia’s monetary base increased 0.2% to AMD 851.7 billion in April

YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base grew 0.2% in April 2016, compared with the previous month, to AMD 851.7 billion, the National Statistical Service reported Tuesday referring to the central bank’s preliminary figures.

Cash outside the central bank amounted to AMD 362.5 billion in late April against AMD 349.2 billion in late March.

Correspondent accounts in drams totaled AMD 357.7 billion against around AMD 332.8 billion respectively, and those in foreign currencies amounted to AMD 125.7 billion against AMD 162.6 billion.

Net international reserves (excluding money from privatization) totaled AMD 400.6 billion in late April after shrinking 6.3% over one month.

Net internal assets grew to AMD 451.1 billion in late April from AMD 422.2 billion in late March. ($1- 477.66). –0—
