Over $88 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought more than $88 million from the local foreign currency market on July 18 – 22 at the average weighted exchange rate of 475.70 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 10.7 million euros and 1.3 billion Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 523.31 and 7.47 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $105.8 million, € 14.3 million and 435.4 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 476.97, 528.40 and 7.56 drams respectively.

In addition, from July 11 to 17, the banks provided 36.4 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $55.3 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- 476.15 drams).  –0—-
