VTB Bank (Armenia) resumes service allowing card-to-card money transfers

YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) has resumed its service that allows transferring money from card to card, the bank’s press office reported on Tuesday.

According to the press release, starting from July 21, 2016, holders of the bank’s Visa card can transfer money through Visa Direct system to Visa cards issued not only by VTB Bank (Armenia), but also to cards of local and international banks.

Transfers may be operated 24 hours a day through 157 ATMs of VTB Bank (Armenia).

Transfers to Visa cards issued by VTB Bank (Armenia) and international banks are operated in four currencies – Armenian drams, Russian rubles, US dollars and Euros, and to cards issued by Armenia’s local banks only in drams.

To transfer money to Cards issued by VTB Bank (Armenia) it is necessary to know only the number of the recipient card, while for transfers to cards issued by local an international banks it is necessary to provide the name, surname, and 16-digit number of the recipient card.

In particular, one can do this by sending a message to 2700 number and by indicating the recipient’s data in the following format: C2C 5450570001075245 AVAG AVAGYAN (as example).

Transfers to cards issued by other banks can be operated by providing the same data by calling the Call Center (phone number 8787) in operation hours or the processing department in non-operation hours  (+374 10) 56 07 08 or by providing verbally the same data to an officer at any branch.

The transferred money will become available to the recipient maybe in a few minutes and maybe up to two banking days later – this depends on technical capacity of the bank which serves the recipient card.
The service is available 24 hours a day, and commission for every transfer is equal to 0.9% of the transferred amount.
