Armenian banks’ overdue loans shrink 1.7% in June 2016

YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. The total amount of Armenian banks’ overdue loans shrank 1.7% in June 2016, compared with the previous month, to AMD 46.3 billion, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

According to the statistical report, loans with short-term payment delays contracted by 2.4% to AMD 23 billion and those with long-term delays reduced by 0.9% to AMD 23.3 billion.

Banks’ loans with prolonged terms grew 4.8% to AMD 118.9 billion.

Their aggregate credit exposure grew 0.85% to AMD 2 005.6 billion – loans in foreign currencies grew 0.65% to AMD 1 324.2 billion and loans in drams 1.3% to AMD 681.2 billion.

The banks’ loans totaled AMD 2 170.9 billion in late June after growing 1% over one month. –0—-
