Armenian central bank’s total capital reaches AMD 17.3 billion in late September 2016

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. The total capital of the Central Bank of Armenia amounted to AMD 17.3 billion in late September 2016 against AMD 2.6 billion in late December 2015, the regulator’s press office reported on Wednesday.

According to the press release, the central bank’s authorized capital remained unchanged – at AMD 100 million, while the general reserve has grown 8% since the beginning of the year reaching AMD 25.5 billion by late September.

The central bank’s accumulated asset revaluation reserves for sale totaled AMD 399.4 million against minus 1 227.3 million in 2015, and capital losses totaled AMD 179.5 billion against AMD 156.1 billion in late 2015.

The central bank’s extra capital has not changed since the beginning of this year and stood at AMD 136.2 billion in late September.

The profits received from the central bank’s activity in 2015 have not been distributed by late September. ($1 – AMD 480.11). –0—–

Armenia-based banks made a profit of 363 billion drams in 2024, an increase of about 137 billion drams, or 61%, compared to 2023,  Daniel Azatyan, the head of the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) told a press conference today.
