Armenian central bank issues three commemorative coins

YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/.Armenia’s Central Bank has put into circulation three silver commemorative coins on spiritual topics with face values of 1000 drams. The coins are called ‘Khotakerats Holy Nshan’, ‘Cross with the Relics of St. Gevorg”, “Cross with the Relics of John the Baptist.”

The obverses of the coins depict the coat of arms of Armenia. Under it is the inscription ‘1000 drams’. The reverses of the coins depict “Khotakerats Holy Nshan”, “Cross with the Relics of St. Gevorg”, and “Cross with the Relics of John the Baptist’, respectively.

A total of 2,500 commemorative coins have been issued for each of the series, weighing 25 grams. The coins were minted by German Meyer Company. -0-
