Office of Armenia’s financial ombudsperson to open a representative office in Nagorno-Karabakh

YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. The office of Armenia’s financial ombudsperson will open a representative office in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the ombudsperson Piruz Sargsyan told journalists on Wednesday.

According to her, the idea is that a representative of Armenia’s office will be deployed in Artsakh to collect complaints and applications from local citizens and send them to the Armenian office for consideration.

She noted that despite the absence of an office in Artsakh now, a considerable number of complaints from its people arrive in Yerevan. According to her, the complaints are against financial and insurance organizations.

She added also that no office will be opened in Armenia’s regions as international practice shows that usually the ombudsperson offices are located only in the capitals and are accessible to residents of the regions through various formats. -0-
