In June Armenian inflation up 0.9 percent year-on-year

YEREVAN, July 6. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia in June 2018 were higher 0.9% as opposed to June 2017, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.

During the reporting period, prices for food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) decreased by 1.6%, while prices for non-food products and services increased by 5.3% and by 1.4%, respectively.

In June 2018 consumer prices dropped by 1.6% from the previous month. The drop was triggered by a 3.9% decline in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.

In January-June 2018, the six-month prices increased by 2.4% from the same time span of 2017. The government-projected inflation rate for 2018 is 4% (± 1.5%). -0-
