2.3% inflation in Armenia in July 2018

YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia rose 2.3% in July 2018, compared with July 2017, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Foods, spirits and tobacco products became 1.3% cheaper, while prices for nonfoods and services rose 5.5% and 1.4% respectively.

In July 2018, compared with the previous month, consumer prices went 1.2 percent down mainly due to a 2.9% decrease in prices for foods and spirits.

In Jan-July 2018, compared with Jan-July 2017, consumer prices rose 2.4%.

In the government budget for 2018, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%). –0–
