Around $88.2 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, November 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought around $88.2 million from the local foreign currency market on November 12 to 16 at the average weighted exchange rate of 486.95 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 9.2 million euros and 1 875.8 million Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 542.17 and 7.21 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $91.8 million, € 16.9 million and 714.9 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 488.37, 552.22 and 7.28 drams respectively.

In addition, from November 5 to 11, the banks have provided 58.1 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $55.4 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- AMD 485.72 drams). –0—-
