Armenia’s public debt ups by $14* million in 2018

YEREVAN, January 22. /ARKA/. Armenia’s overall public debt at the end of December 2018 stood at $6.922.9 billion, by 2.2% or $148.3 million more than at the end of December 2017, according to the Ministry of Finance.

It said in December 2018 the national debt increased by 2.3% or $157.4 million. According to the ministry, the government debt at the end of last year stood at $6.372.9 billion (an increase of $199.8 million from the year before), including $4.982.8 billion of external debt (an increase of $89.5 million).

The domestic debt stood at $1.390 billion (an increase of $110.3 million). The debt of the Central Bank declined last year by $41.5 million to $550 million.. -0-
