Armenia wants HSBC bank to continue operation in the country

YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received today HSBC Bank Executive Director for Europe and Africa Christopher Davis and f HSBC Bank Armenia CEO Paul Edgar, the press office of the President said.

It said having greeted the guests, Sarkissian praised the bank’s activity in Armenia, saying its arrival in the 90s had a great influence on the formation of the financial and banking system of the country.
He said Armenia values the contribution of HSBC Bank in the development of Armenia’s banking sector and that it is important that it continues its further activity in Armenia.

Christopher Davis, in turn, noted that HSBC introduced the best standards in Armenia, and the Armenian team of the bank is considered one of the most skilled one.

The interlocutors exchanged also views on the activities of HSBC and HSBC Bank Armenia. -0-
