ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK AND Hayastan All-Armenian Fund launch new cooperation

YEREVAN, October 16, / ARKA /. As part of a renegotiated partnership with ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has launched a new website furnished with a string of new technologies and innovations, which will used to make the bulk of online donations to the Fund by means of electronic POSs of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, the latter said in a press release.

“We are very excited about the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s new initiative to relocate to online domain. This is in line with our policy and makes our partnership more effective. In particular, the bulk of donations are expected to be made through our electronic POSs. I would also like to remind that currently we serve the largest number of POSs in Armenia and are happy to partner with the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund online.

In tune with our policy, we will transfer all the commissions we receive to the joint account of the All-Armenian Fund, where the raised funds are managed by mutual agreement. It is also gratifying that the programs to be implemented through the new website will be more transparent and more manageable.
Our customers will have the opportunity to see what they are doing for charity programs, and with any payment made with our Visa Barerar cards the customers will automatically become benefactors. The customer does not pay any extra money, but pays for the transaction as much as the product or service should be paid for, and we are already transferring some of our proceeds to our All-Armenian Fund account through which projects are subsequently implemented. This is an initiative that gives everyone the opportunity to become benefactor,” said Arsen Melkonyan, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Business Coordination.

“We are grateful to our partner ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK. As a result of our cooperation, we have created the first Visa Barerar cards in Armenia, which has been instrumental for carrying out a number of charitable projects. Now, in case of making a donation by using the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s website by means of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK’s Visa, MasterCard, American Express and ARCA cards, the Bank will transfer money from its proceeds to the special Visa Barerar account. I hope that with this format we too will be able to raise enough funds and implement a number of charity projects,” Haykak Arshamyan, Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, said.

The partnership between ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund started in 2012, by jointly issuing the first charity cards in Armenia, the Visa Barerar cards.

ACBA was established in 1996 as part of EU’s TACIS program. As a result of a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation between ACBA Bank and the French Credit Agricole the latter became the biggest shareholder of ACBA in 2006, September. ACBA was restructured, becoming a closed joint stock company and was renamed ACBA – CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK.-0-
