Taxes paid by commercial banks in Armenia up 9.4 percent

YEREVAN, November 15. /ARKA/. Seventeen Armenia-based commercial banks paid a total of 42.3 billion drams in taxes for the first nine months of 2019, the Union of Banks of Armenia reported.
It said in a press release that the amount was by 3.6 billion drams (or 9.4%) more when compared to the same period last year.

The Union of Banks of Armenia said also the amount of paid direct taxes increased by 5.5 billion drams, or 15.9% to 40 billion drams.

According to the State Revenue Committee, the country’s 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid a total of 764.6 billion drams in various taxes for the first nine months of 2019, up from 672.1 billion drams paid for the same time span in 2018 (an increase of 13.5 %). ($1 – 477.46 dram). — 0—
