Pashinyan: central bank has bought $521.8 million this year

YEREVAN, November 26. /ARКА/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today that the country’s Central Bank has bought this year $521.8 million.
He said the figure indicates a large influx of currency into Armenia, which he described as ‘a brilliant’ reflection of the stability of the financial system.

He said in a Facebook post that this creates new business opportunities and increases the availability of financial resources. According to him, this is an unprecedented indicator in the history of Armenia.
Earlier, the head of the Central Bank Artur Javadyan stated that as of late September Armenia’s forex reserves reached the record high of $2.39 billion. -0-
