Pashinyan urges fellow citizens to use online services to pay their utilities

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan urged Thursday his fellow citizens to use online services to pay their utilities.

Addressing Cabinet members he said this will eliminate queues, protect personal data of citizens and greatly facilitate the procedure for paying for various services.

“Today, there is a problem with the protection of personal data. When you come to a bank, for example, to pay the telephone bills of family members you say the numbers to operator and everyone inside listens to everyone. We are taking about the Bank Secrecy Law, but a bank does not secure bank secrecy, because the client is surrounded by the eyes of the curious,” Pashinyan said.

In this regard, Chairman of the Central Bank Arthur Javadyan noted that the issue of electronic queues has been resolved in almost all banks, in addition, new technologies are being applied that allow making all payments online or by phone.

“Almost all banks have both Internet banking and mobile banking, and all these services are accessible to the masses,” Javadyan said.-0-
