Armenia’s 12–month inflation in April was 8.4%

YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. Armenian consumer prices in April 2022 were 8.4% up when compared to the same month of 2021, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.

According to the NSC, the prices in April 2022 were up 2.3% compared to March of the same year.

The prices in January-April 2022 increased by 7.4% against the same period of 2021.

Armenia’s government’s economic growth projection for 2022 is 7%, while inflation is set at 4% (±1.5%). The Central Bank in March downgraded its growth forecast to 1.6% from its earlier forecast of 5.3%. -0-
