CB: Armenia’s inflation in 2022 may reach 9-9.5

YEREVAN, December 14. /ARKA/. Armenia’s inflation in 2022 may reach 9-9.5%, chairman of the Central Bank Martin Galstyan said today.

“According to our forecasts, there will be some acceleration of inflation in December, but somewhat less than we previously predicted,” he said at a press conference.

According to the National Statistical Committee, the 12-month consumer inflation in November 2022 compared to November 2021 was 8.8 percent.

Armenia’s economic growth in the 2022 state budget is projected at 7%, while inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%).

In September, the Central Bank predicted that the 2022 inflation will be around 10%. -0-
