Armenia’s 12-month CPI in July 2023 was down one percent

YEREVAN, July 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s 12-month consumer price index (CPI) in July 2023 was down 0.1%, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.

According to the NSC,  1% price drop was recorded in July this year compared to June of the same year. Prices increased by 3.6% in January-July 2023 compared to the same period of 2022.

Armenian government’s growth projection for 2023 is  7%, while inflation is expected to be t 4% (±1.5%). Armenia’s economic activity in the first half of 2023 was 11.4% compared to January-June 2022.

The central bank’s growth forecast is 6.9%, while the 12-month inflation is expected to  be slightly below the 4% target. -0-
