Central Bank puts into circulation commemorative coins to mark 30th anniversary of Armenian dram

YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/.  To mark the 30th anniversary of the Armenian national currency, the dram, the Central Bank has put today into circulation a series of commemorative coins of AMD 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 denominations.

The coins’ obverses depict the logo of the 30th anniversary of the national currency, the year of issue “2023”, the inscriptions “ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ” and “REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA”.

On the reverses are the denominations of the coins “10 ԴՐԱՄ” (10 DRAM), “20 ԴՐԱՄ” (20 DRAM), “50 ԴՐԱՄ” (50 DRAM), “100 ԴՐԱՄ” (100 DRAM), “200 ԴՐԱՄ” (200 DRAM), “500 ԴՐԱՄ” (500 DRAM) and the national ornaments.

The coins were designed by Vardan Vardanyan (obverse) and Karapet Abrahamyan (reverse). They were minted by the Royal Mint of Great Britain. –0–
