Acba Bank starts issuing UnionPay International cards

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Acba Bank is the first bank in Armenia to start issuing UnionPay Gold and UnionPay Business international cards of China’s largest payment system UnionPay International.

Acba Bank said in a press release that at present,  UnionPay International cards are  used to make payments in 183 countries, of which about 100 countries also issue UnionPay cards. As a result of cooperation between Acba Bank and UnionPay International, Armenia has also joined the list of these countries.

Acba Bank issues UnionPay International cards both for resident and non-resident individuals and legal entities. 

The presale of UnionPay Gold and UnionPay Business cards started on May 7, and in case of ordering a card before June 7, the annual maintenance fee will be free for one year.

Advantages of UnionPay Gold and UnionPay international cards include:

 – Making payments and cash withdrawals worldwide,

– Possibility of a line of credit,

– Possibility to attach to a card of another system as an additional card,

– Possibility to order a card via acba digital application,

– Free delivery  of the card in the whole territory of Armenia.

UnionPay International (UPI) is a subsidiary organization of China UnionPay. The cooperation between Acba Bank and UnionPay International started in 2019. Acba Bank was the first bank in Armenia to start servicing UnionPay cards. Currently, there are more than 230 million UnionPay cardholders in the world.
