Average exchange rate of  Armenian dram to US dollar in October was 4.2% lower than a year ago

YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. In October 2024, the average exchange rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar was 387.2 drams, which is 4.2% lower than in October 2023 (404.3 drams), according to the National Statistical Committee.
In October 2024, compared to September of the same year, Armenia recorded a 0.3% increase in consumer prices, while the exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar remained unchanged.
In October of this year, compared to December of last year, consumer prices and the calculated exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar decreased by 0.8% and 4.3%, respectively.
In the same period last year, the country recorded a decline in consumer prices by 2% and an increase in the exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar by 2.5%.-0-
